Merle was one of my all time favorites. A close friend to both sides of my family, he always credited uncle Lefty with being the reason he got in the music business, after having him get on stage and sing with his guitar as a teenager. He bought that exact guitar of Lefty’s after he passed. I created this painting out of a family black and white photo. Merle hung a copy of it in his office. I gifted the painting to uncle David who loved Merle. This is the reproduction art print.
I was so honored to get to be on an album with him in 2008 titled “Frizzell and Friends.”
